Stage 1. 3, 5-Dibromopyrazin-2-amine To a solution of aminopyrazine (11.36 g, 0.12 mol) in DCM (700 mL) at 0C was added N-bromosuccinimide (44.64 g, 0.25 mol) portion-wise.
