The resulting mixture was stirred at 90 C. for 4 h then cooled to room temperature. The mixture was diluted with methylene chloride (15 mL) and water (5 mL). The precipitates were collected by filtration and washed with methyl t-butyl ether then dried to afford the desired product (1.05 g, 91%). LC-MS calculated for C11H8ClN4 (M+H)+: m/z=231.0; found 231.1.
