EXAMPLE 1A 5-bromo-2-pyrazinamine A 0 C. solution of 2-aminopyrazine (15.0 g, 157 mmol) in dichloromethane (900 mL) was treated with N-bromosuccinimide (28.2 g, 159 mmol), stirred for 3.5 hours, and filtered through diatomaceous earth (Celite).
