The combined organic layer was dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated to afford 5.9 g of brown solid of imidazo[1,2-a]pyrazine (yield 94%). 1H-NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) delta 9.05 (m, 1H), 8.60 (dd, 1H), 8.13 (d, 1H), 7.87 (d, 1H), 7.81 (d, 1H). MS m/z 120 [M++1].
