After evaporation of the solvent, the residue was purified by preparative TLC, eluting with 30% ethyl acetate – n-hexane, to give 5-methoxypyrazin-2-amine (25 mg, 32%).1H NMR (500 MHz, MeOD) delta 7.64 (1H, s), 7.58 (1H, s), 3.85 (3H, s). LCMS (3) Rt 1.75 min; m/z (ESI+) 126 (MH+).
