The crude product was slurried in combined solvents of petroleum ether and acetone (10/1, 200 mL) and filtered to give the product Y7d (51.00 g, 307.91 mmol, 80% yield) as a light yellow solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) d = 7.63 (s, 1H). The advantage of this (also generalized) method is that no column chromatography is required to obtain Y7d.
