Ethyl imidazo[1,2-a]pyrazine-3-carboxylate 14a (550 mg, 2.76 mmol) was dissolved in 30 mL of methanol, followed by addition of Pd-C (10%, 100 mg), and the reactor was purged with hydrogen for three times.
