To 3-aminopyridine (10 g, 106 mmol) at 70 C were added methyl 3-amino-6-bromo-2- pyrazinecarboxylate (1.0 g, 4.3 mmol) and 1, 8-DIAZABICYCLO [5.4. 0] undec-7-ene (645 UL, 4.3 mmol).
