General procedure: A solution of compound 10 (216 mg, 1.36 mmol)in SOCl2 was heated to reflux overnight. The excess SOCl2 wasremoved by vacuum distillation. The organic phase was concentratedin vacuo and the residue was recrystallized from 2-propanolto give compound 11a as a yellow solid (181 mg, 53%).
