The reaction mixture was then diluted with DCM and washed with water. The organic phase was purified by column chromatography to yield the desired product (650 mg, 81%). 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3): delta (ppm) 1.40 (m, 1H); 1.69 (m, 4H); 1.82 (m, 1H); 2.21-2.32 (m, 4H); 2.93 (dd, 1H); 3.28 (m, 2H); 3.35 (d, 1H); 3.96 (dd, 1H); 4.34 (d, 1H); 4.48 (d, 1H); 8.02 (d, 1H); 8.26 (d, 1H).
