A flask equipped with a mechanical stirrer was charged with 6,8-dibromo-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrazine (63.9 g, 230 mmol) and DMF (700 mL) followed by(1r,4r)-4-(4-amino-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)cyclohexanol (41.7 g, 230 mmol) and N-ethyl-N-isopropylpropan-2-amine (80 mL, 460 mmol).
