Triethylamine (33.3 mL, 239mmol) was added and the mixture was heated to 95 ¡ãC for 18 h. The reaction mixture was thencooled to ambient temperature and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was suspendedin water (300 mL) and sonicated and filtered. Trituration in ether provided 6-bromo-N-(1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrazin-8-amine (19.3 g, 68.9 mmol, 87percent); 1H NMR (400MHz, DMSO-d6) delta 12.67 (s, 1H), 10.65 (s, 1H), 8.54 (s, 1H), 8.10 (s, 1H), 7.82 (s, 1H).
