The resulting mixture was heated at 110 C overnight then cooled to room temperature and concentrated. The residue was purified by flash chromatography on a silica gel column eluting with 0 to 25 % ethyl acetate/DCM to give the desired product. LC-MS calculated for C20H15N4 (M+H)+: m/z = 311.1 ; found 311.1.
